The familiar hum of the hospitals fluorescent lights greeted Lacy as she walked towards the nurses station. Her boss Dr. Riley was the first to greet her. â€Å"Morning Lacy, I need you to head over to bay two to check on Mr. Adams.† â€Å"Yes sir† she replied. She headed down the hall stopping just outside the room. Parker Adams was a young man who was in a terrible skiing accident that caused him to slip into a coma. He had been in the hospital for almost three weeks now, and as the days passed Lacy began to fall more and more in love with him. Everyday his friends or family would visit they would sit by his bedside and talk to him. The more Lacy learned about Parker the more she realized how similar they were. She stood in the doorway thinking about how perfect they are for each other, and wishing he would wake up and feel the same way about her. â€Å"Ummm excuse me! Can I help you?† An all too familiar voice came from Parkers room. A young woman with a tiny upturned nose and long bleach blonde hair sat in the corner of the room staring at Lacy waiting for a reply. â€Å"Oh, um, I’m sorry† Lacy stammered â€Å"I am here to check on Mr.Adams.† Suddenly she was snapped back to reality. She and Parker were similar in many ways, relationship status not being one. He had a girlfriend, Jocelyn. Even though Lacy had never officially met Parker she could not help but feel Jocelyn was all wrong for him. She was rude, arrogant, and high maintenance.
